Peddi Trailer Launched Today in Mumbai Across All Languages
Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Peddi got its official trailer launch today, 18 May 2026, at a grand event held in BKC, Mumbai. The trailer has been released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi — making it a full pan-India rollout. The entire cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, and music composer AR Rahman attended the event.
Director Buchi Babu Sana said at the event that the entire team has worked with their whole heart on this project. Divyenndu, who plays the character Rambujji in the film, admitted he agreed to do Peddi without even reading the script — a statement that drew loud cheers from the crowd.
What the Trailer Shows and How Audiences Are Reacting
The official caption on the trailer reads: “His arena. His rules. His game begins now.” The trailer presents Ram Charan in a raw, intense avatar set against a 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh backdrop, with a strong wrestling and sports drama theme.
Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan’s father, reviewed the trailer and called it power-packed and praised the madness and emotions it carries. His comments added to the excitement building across social media. Earlier, the first glimpse of the film had crossed 36 million views in just 24 hours, setting a Tollywood record. Songs like Chikiri Chikiri and Rai Rai Raa Raa have already crossed 200 million views across platforms, which shows strong pre-release interest.
Budget and Box Office Expectations
According to media reports, Peddi has been made on a budget of approximately ₹300 crore, making it one of the most expensive Telugu productions in recent times. Trade analysts suggest the film will need to earn around ₹500 crore or more to be considered a clean hit.
On the positive side, advance booking for North American premieres crossed $100K within four hours of opening, and has since gone past $150K with over 5,000 tickets already sold. These are strong early signals. The film also reportedly secured a Netflix digital rights deal worth around ₹130 crore, which gives the makers a financial cushion before the theatrical run.
However, it is worth noting that Ram Charan’s last film, Game Changer, had a disappointing box office run. With that context, trade circles are watching the trailer response closely to judge how Peddi will perform.
Release Date and What’s Next
Peddi is set to premiere globally on June 3, 2026, with a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026. In North India, distribution is being handled by Jio Studios. A mega music event featuring AR Rahman is also planned in Bhopal on May 23, before the release.
Based on the trailer buzz, advance bookings, and pre-release music numbers, the overall sentiment around Peddi appears strongly positive. Whether this excitement translates into box office success will become clear on June 4.
