Ravi Teja’s Irumudi has turned into one of 2026’s most profitable Telugu releases, and the actor’s reported pay structure for the film is now drawing fresh attention.
According to industry trackers, Ravi Teja was paid a fixed fee of ₹8 Crore for Irumudi, along with a share in the film’s profits. Director Shiva Nirvana reportedly received ₹7 Crore for the project. These figures have not been officially confirmed by the actor, the director or the production banner.
What makes the number interesting is the scale of Irumudi’s box-office run. The film was made on a reported budget of ₹35 Crore, including prints and advertising costs.
Trade sources indicate Irumudi recovered close to 90 percent of that budget within 48 hours of release, and crossed its full production cost inside three days.
By its third day in theatres, the film had collected close to ₹50.5 Crore net in India, with a worldwide gross nearing ₹73 Crore. As per the latest trade reports, that put its return on investment at over 44 percent in under a week, making it one of the most profitable Telugu films of the year so far.
Fixed fee versus box-office upside
Ravi Teja’s reported ₹8 Crore fixed fee is modest against the film’s overall business, working out to less than a quarter of the reported budget.
That structure matters because of the profit-sharing component attached to it. Reportedly, unlike a straightforward one-time salary, this arrangement links part of the actor’s income directly to how well Irumudi performs commercially.
With the film already profitable within days of release and continuing to add to its worldwide total, industry insiders suggest Ravi Teja’s final earnings from Irumudi could end up considerably higher than his upfront fee, depending on the exact terms of the backend deal.
The film marks Ravi Teja’s first clean hit after a string of under-performers, and that box-office comeback appears to be feeding into a more lucrative pay structure this time, compared with what a straight fixed fee would have earned him.
For Priya Bhavani Shankar, who plays the female lead, and Baby Nakshatra, reported remuneration figures have also surfaced, though full details of their roles and screen time remain undisclosed.
As Irumudi heads toward the ₹100 Crore worldwide mark, the real test will be how much of that extra business eventually translates into additional earnings for its lead actor under the reported profit-sharing terms.
