Trisha Krishnan’s Reported Fee for Karuppu Is Making Headlines

As Suriya’s much-anticipated fantasy action film Karuppu gears up for its theatrical release on May 14, 2026, talk around the cast’s remuneration is picking up pace. Trade reports suggest that actress Trisha Krishnan is being paid around Rs 5 crore for her pivotal role in the film, according to media reports.

The film, directed by RJ Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, marks a reunion of Suriya and Trisha on the big screen after years, which has already created strong anticipation among fans.

About Trisha’s Role in Karuppu

Trisha plays the character Preethi, a lawyer, in the film. The makers officially introduced her character ahead of the release, and the response from audiences has been warm. Suriya, meanwhile, reportedly pocketed around Rs 45 crore for the film, playing a dual role as Saravanan and Karuppuswamy.

RJ Balaji himself steps in as the villain, Baby Kannan, making the film an unusual outing for the director-turned-actor.

Trisha’s Overall Market Fee in 2026

Trisha’s reported fee for Karuppu appears to be on the slightly lower end compared to her current market rate. According to industry talk, she generally commands around Rs 10 to 12 crore per film at present. Reports also suggest her remuneration has been revised upward in recent months amid growing demand.

Her overall net worth is estimated to be around Rs 85 crore, as per media reports, which includes film earnings, brand endorsements worth approximately Rs 9 crore annually, and real estate holdings in Chennai and Hyderabad.

Karuppu Release and What to Expect

Karuppu has received a UA 13+ certification from the CBFC with a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The film reportedly had a production budget of around Rs 130 crore and has already recovered over Rs 110 crore through OTT and satellite deals, according to trade reports.

Advance bookings have been encouraging, with the film crossing over 50,000 tickets sold ahead of its release. The film releases in Tamil and Telugu and is expected to be one of the bigger Tamil openers of the summer 2026 season.

The supporting cast includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maaya Ravi, and Yogi Babu in key roles.
